What are the words that come to mind when you see that the innovating you do, or the work done by the company for which you are innovating, is actually impacting the marketplace? We think of words like 'amazing', 'pretty neat', 'impressive', and 'proud'. These are all words that

MTV, The Sound Research, and Hotspex Join Forces to Find Out if Youth is an Age or a Mindset

Hotspex is teaming up with MTV International to, yet again, push the boundaries of what research can do and how it can be done. This global project, involving 17 countries, could potentially redefine youth marketing as we know it. The question that we're setting out to answer: is youth an age or a mindset?
Traditionally, most youth marketing efforts have focused on teens and those in their early 20s; however, preliminary insights suggest that today it could be the 30-something market that is demonstrating the most 'youthful' attitude and driving youth culture. After all, isn't 30 the new 20? What are your thoughts on this age-old issue? Here's what your fellow Innovators think:

Hotspex Innovators Determine the Hottest New Products of 2007

In the latter months of last year, nearly 3000 Hotspex Innovators participated in a survey for New Products Magazine that showcased some of the hottest new products released in 2007. Their challenge: to effectively determine which of these products was worthy enough to be honored as the 2007 Hottest New Product. To do this, Innovators rated products on both a HOT and SPEX Index. The winner: Generation Max. The Generation Max line includes 10 items that contain 150 calories or less per serving from some of our favorite brands: Snickers, M&M's, Twix, 3 Musketeers and Combos.
