Hotspex is a survey website that consumers (Hotspex Innovators) join to help leading brands develop better products and services by answering fun and engaging surveys.
Q. What is a Hotspex Innovator?
A Hotspex Innovator is a member of Hotspex.com. Hotspex Innovators share a common interest of taking online surveys to influence the world around them.
Q. Where do I find surveys?
There are 2 places to find Hotspex surveys. The first is on the Hotspex website, where you can find ‘Fun’ surveys (surveys written by Hotspex that are meant to entertain you and possibly teach you something about yourself). The second place is in your email inbox, where you will find surveys that are being conducted for Hotspex clients. In these surveys you will play a key role in the development of new products and services.

Be sure to add Carly@hotspex.com to your email safelist to ensure that you are receiving invites to all of Hotspex’s surveys. (Click here for detailed instructions on how to add people to your email safelist.)
Q. Is there a cost to be a Hotspex Innovator?
No, being a Hotspex Innovator is FREE! We even reward you with valuable Hotspex BUX that you can spend in our Prize XChange or donate in our Charity XChange!
Q. How can I earn Hotspex BUX?
  • Participate in Hotspex surveys that are sent to your email inbox
  • Wager your BUX in the Hotspex HotPot to try to earn more
Q. What are Hotspex BUX and how can I spend them?
Hotspex BUX are points that are earned by completing Hotspex surveys.
Q. How do I know if I have won a prize?
All winners of Hotspex contests are contacted by email. Once contacted, the winner of the contest has 7 (seven) days to respond to the email and claim the prize. If the contest winner does not respond within the allotted 7 (seven) days a new winner will be chosen.

FYI – HotPot winner emails are sent from Carly@hotspex.com. Please make sure that Carly@hotspex.com is added to your email safelist to ensure you do not miss a winning email!

Q. Am I eligible to win more than 1 prize?
Yes! However, you are only eligible to win a prize every 3 months (or 90 days)*. For a period of 3 months (or 90 days) after you win your prize you will not be able to spend your BUX on any contests in the Prize XChange. You will, however, be able to spend your BUX in the Charity XChange and HotPot. Once 3 months (or 90 days) have passed after you've won your prize, you will then be able to spend BUX in the Prize XChange again.

Q. I do not live in Canada. Can I still win Hotspex prizes?
Hotspex is NOT just for Canadians. You can live anywhere in the world to participate in our surveys and win our prizes.
Q. What is the Hotspex HotPot?
The Hotspex HotPot is a monthly 50/50 draw where the prize amount (awarded in Hotspex BUX) is determined by you and your fellow Innovators. Each month Hotspex loads the HotPot with 10,000 BUX, and the rest is up to you! Contributions can be made to the HotPot all month long. At the end of the month one lucky winner who has contributed to the HotPot will win half of the BUX that are in the HotPot. The other half will be donated to the Hotspex featured charity of the winner’s choice.
Q. What is the Monthly Draw?
The Monthly Draw is a draw where you can win cash prizes just for completing surveys. You don't need to enter any of your BUX, you just need to make sure you complete at least one Hotspex survey a month to be automatically entered into the draw. At the end of the month, you'll be contacted by email if you're one of the lucky winners!
Q. How do I update my personal information?
Simply click on the tab titled "My Hotspex" located on the top of the Hotspex website. Then click on "My Profile". To go there now, CLICK HERE.
Q. How do I change my email address or Hotspex password?
Simply click on the tab titled "My Hotspex" located on the top of the Hotspex website. Then click on "My Profile". To go there now, CLICK HERE.
Q. Does Hotspex conduct surveys in other languages?
Some Hotspex surveys are conducted in French. If you would rather receive survey invitations in French, CLICK HERE.
Q. I am having difficulty logging in, what should I do?
Hotspex requires that you enable your browser's cookies or use a browser that supports cookies. If you are having problems using the website, please make sure that your cookies are enabled. For more details CLICK HERE.
Q. I would like to be a Hotspex Innovator, but I do not wish to receive email from Hotspex. Is this possible?
This is possible, but it means that you will only be able to participate in Hotspex ‘Fun’ surveys. For security reasons all surveys conducted for Hotspex clients will only be mailed to your email address. If you are only interested in taking Hotspex "Fun" surveys simply email help@hotspex.com and let us know.
Q. I haven’t received any emails lately asking me to complete surveys. What can I do?

Simply click on the link titled "INVITE FRIENDS" located in the top navigation bar of Hotspex homepage. Or, CLICK HERE.
Q. Can more than one person from one household join Hotspex?
Yes, but all Innovators must have their own unique email address.
Q. Can I have more than one Hotspex account?
No. Hotspex Innovators are permitted to only have one Hotspex account. If you are discovered to have more than one account, Hotspex reserves the right to close all accounts. Any BUX you have accumulated will be immediately removed.
Q. I donated to one of the charities in the Charity XChange. Why don’t I see my name on the charity donator’s recognition list?
The charity donator’s recognition list updates on the first of every month to reflect the previous month's donations. If you donated to a charity in our Charity Xchange your Hotspex handle (nickname) will be listed on the page in alphabetical order on the first day of the month after you donate.
Q. How do I unsubscribe?
There are 2 ways to unsubscribe from Hotspex. The first is to send an email to help@hotspex.com. Please write the word "Unsubscribe" in the email subject line. The second way is to click on the link that is located in the body of the survey invitation emails that are sent to you

Q. How do I contribute to the HotPot?

  • Unqualified survey completes – Even if you did not meet all of a survey’s qualifiers you are still eligible to receive Hotspex BUX. At the end of the survey that you did not qualify for you will be rewarded a minimum of 5 Hotspex BUX. At this time you will have the choice of either keeping your 5 BUX or donating some or all of them to the HotPot. For every donation of 1 BUX you make to the HotPot you will receive 1 ballot to win the contents. The more ballots you collect during the month, the better your odds of winning!
  • Qualified survey completes – Upon completing a Hotspex survey and earning BUX you will be given the choice of either keeping your BUX or donating them to the HotPot. For every donation of 1 BUX you make to the HotPot you will receive 1 ballot to win the contents. The more ballots you collect during the month, the better your odds of winning!
  • On the Hotspex Website – Visit the HotPot homepage by clicking the HotPot tab on the Hotspex homepage. Here you will be given the opportunity to donate some or all of your BUX to the HotPot.
Q. How do I win the contents of the HotPot?
If you have entered even one ballot into the monthly HotPot draw YOU COULD BE THE WINNER! Once a month Hotspex will randomly draw the HotPot winning ballot. If you are the owner of the winning ballot, you win!
Q. If I win, how will I be contacted?
